Side doors
Nitus aluminium side doors are usually used when the only access to the garage is available through the sectional garage door. In such case, the side door is a very convenient solution, providing easy and quick access without having to open the entire garage door. Available in single and double leaf versions, they increase the functionality of the garage, which is often used to store tools, gardening or tourist equipment. Nitus side doors with a door panel infill perfectly match the sectional garage door. When installed side by side, they form an aesthetic composition, emphasizing the visual qualities of the building. This type of door can also be used indoors – in a boiler room or basement. Depending on the thermal insulation requirements, the side door may be made of profiles with a thermal break – warm aluminium doors, or of profiles without the thermal break – cold aluminium doors.

Cold aluminium doors
The leaf frame and the door frame are made of 51 mm thick single-chamber aluminium sections. The system is provided without a thermal break. Side garage door has seals mounted on the circumference of the leaf and the door frame. The door leaf is filled with a warm 40 mm thick garage door panel or 18.5 mm thick aluminium slat. Both the leaf frame and the door frame are powder-coated in any colour from the RAL palette.
Warm aluminium doors
The leaf frame and the door frame are made of 65 mm thick triple-chamber aluminium sections with a thermal break. The door leaf is filled with an insulated warm 40 mm thick garage door panel. Side door has seals mounted on the circumference of the leaf and the door frame. Therefore, warm aluminium doors should be mounted in heated rooms, where good insulation parameters are important. The leaf frame and the door frame are powder coated with RAL colours.
Features of external garage panel doors
Safety
Aluminium side doors feature the following hardware in standard: a lock, a handle and three hinges, which are the main components that provide safety in the building. The garage entrance is effectively protected against burglary by anti-burglary bolts, a lock with an anti-theft C grade cylinder and a 3-point espagnolette.
Versatility
Nitus aluminium external doors are mainly used in detached houses where they provide an alternative and functional access to the garage. They prove to be a perfect solution when a car parked in front of the garage door limits the access. Side doors are also intended for closing openings of utility rooms as well as industrial buildings.
